My name is salessandro, and I've been passionately creating fused glass art since 2010, transitioning from material painting to painting with glass. I am Italian, born in Graz, Austria. Before moving in 2017 to Colorado I lived in Austria, Italy, the UK and Switzerland.
Glass Canvases are a reflection of how I respond to life — my emotions, experiences, and observations, expressed via the translucency offered by painting with fused glass.
One initial spark of interest or close listening to an event, leads to a journey, that I distill into a story, and reverse engineer into a fused glass canvas project.
Painting with glass offers an intriguing element of transience, as light interacts with the artwork, subtly changing its appearance and echoing the transient nature of emotions.
The use of glass as a medium adds a layer of complexity and offers depth, as it allows for the interplay of light-absorption, -transmission, and -reflection, symbolizing the interconnection between the human experience and the broader universe.
