SHATTERED UNITY
Artist Statement
SHATTERED UNITY is exploring the aftermath of divided territories and the pursuit of peace. I hit first with a hammer on a pre-fired thick stacked glass piece. The glass canvas represents the once cohesive territories now broken apart. This abstract painting in glass is intended to encourage viewers to reflect on the consequences of division while inspiring hope for unity and healing.
SHATTERED UNITY also carries a message of hope. It invites you to reflect on the profound consequences of division while inspiring a sense of optimism for the future. Just as the glass canvas was broken, it can also be mended.
