Artist Statement
My self-portrait is a glass canvas capturing the hands that shape my life's journey. Through this very tactile and intimate process of pressing my hands into a glass project, I have immortalized a moment of self-reflection and self-expression. With my hands, I create, feel, communicate, care, and embrace.
Through the delicate dance of fusing enamel and glass, I've transformed a raw material into a representation of self. The subtle imperfections, like the imperfections in life itself, serve to enhance the beauty and authenticity of the piece.
TOUCHING IDENTITY is a reminder that our identities are not fixed but are impressions we leave on the world and those we encounter.
